On the Reliability and Consistency of Speech-Genre Communication

This is an open access article distributed under the terms of Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC-BY 4.0).

The article deals with such universal anthropological characteristics of speech genres as the reliability and consistency of a communicative event, its targeted interactive potential. The author attempts to extrapolate the previously developed psychological-philological approach to the verbal-fictional text from the point of view of its internal reader orientation (levels of attention, involvement, discovery) to an indeterminate set of speech genres known to us.This refers primarily to such speech-genre formations, the script of which directly or indirectly, clearly or hardly noticeably builds a crescendo – as a kind of ascent from an initially calm, habitual, apparently neutral – to a strong, sonorous, emotionally saturated, extremely tense and unexpected outcome. At the same time, the composition of the speech genre captures intentional or involuntary concern for concentrated situational attention, for a vibrantly pulsating empathy – involvement and, upon reaching a penetratingly deep (in comic scenarios – sudden) level of communication, about an almost unexpected and at the same time distinct discovery, which is able to be appreciated by the addressee of the communicative event. Taken together, all the noted certifications are indisputable evidence of the reliability and consistency of speech-genre communication.
