ANTHROPOMORPHIC METAPHOR IN THE GENRE OF THE ANALYTICAL REVIEW “RESULTS OF 2016” IN THE RUSSIAN PRESS

The author examines the conceptual idea of the development of Russia in 2016, reflected in the genre of analytical review in online publications of various (progovernment and opposition) socio-political, ideological orientation, and represented through metaphors formed within the framework of the anthropomorphic conceptual macromodel. The paper identifies the most actual models and their variants of anthropomorphic transfers in the media under investigation. The author analyzes various conceptual metaphors in the representation of the political and ideological positions of the authors of analytical reviews. In particular, it is noted that the main language variants of the biomorph model (the vital activity of a person) are in great demand. But, using the same conceptual principles of metaphorization, the loyal to the authorities and the opposition media fill them with different content. This leads to the formation of almost diametrically opposite ideas about the results of Russia’s development in 2016. The pro-government media is distinguished by the orientation toward creating a positive, dynamic and relatively conflict-free picture of the development of the Russian society. The publications of the opposition, on the contrary, are marked by the perception of the socioeconomic, political situation in Russia as catastrophic and in most cases unpromising.
